Xan and Me cruising around the store

First, we were having a great time riding around the store with our moms. I was having fun messing with Xan by falling on him and he would push me back up...
And then one time, he didn't push me back up and I accidentally fell asleep. Whoops. Oh well, he didn't seem to mind.

Xan and Me in the Bath

Yesterday Xan and I were stinky so mom gave us a bath. She taught Xan how to use the bath toys and then he kept squirting me with the water for the rest of the time. Good thing I think that's fun. Soon, were were both squeaky clean.

My Best Friend Xan

This is my best friend Xan, with an X so as to not be confused with Zan, who I don't even know. He lives down the street and we play together a lot. I like to watch him run around but it makes me tired trying to keep up with him. Last night my mom and Xan were playing in the kitchen and made a smelly foul tasting ooze. I can't wait to make it too some day! Xan is so cool.

I CAN crawl!

Hey all, Aleric here. I know there's been rumors going around that I can't crawl. Well, I just want to let everyone know that I can crawl, I just prefer to walk. That's right, walk. You know the upright form of locomotion preferred by most "Adults". I hope I've cleared this up for everyone . Have a nice day!

Kiwi Chair

I know it looks like a kiwi, but it's not. That's just an illusion. This is the amazing chair that helped Aleric learn to sit on his own. We sold the old one and a jogging stroller to get this new one with a tray. Now we have a portable highchair with toy attachments, it's very nice.

New Upholstry

As if this baby wasn't already the hottest ride in the coldesac, we've decided to sweeten the deal. This hot-rod now comes equipped with plush veggie tales interior to keep that pampered bottom comfy on the long trips to the grocery store. Once you sit on this pillow-top seat, you'll never go back to just huggies again.

Superbaby & Dad

Just the other day I had to let my son know about his origins on the far away planet of krypton.

The buzz cut

This ones a long story.

Land of the rainbow

Since we arrived on the island, we have seen at least 2 rainbows a day. Just thought I'd share one.

Ridin' around in my automobile

Aleric: "I love going out for a long drive in the Hawaiian sun. Nothing beats the feel of the wind in my... wait, mom shaved my head. Oh well, It's still great."

Specs: This little red one seater sports a spacious trunk full of all the necessities for a little guy on the go. Powered by the efficient and peppy "Father" engine you'll be cruising for hours on little to no fuel. You'll love going toppless in the sun on those long weekend drives around the island. This vehicle meets or exceeds all EPA standards and spreads smiles everywhere you go.

I do it all aself mommy

This afternoon Holly was in the kitchen and she heard from the living room "Hey mom, since you're up, you think you could get me a bottle? I'm feeling kind of hungry." Holly thought this a bit odd but obliged and quickly prepared a bottle for the little man. When she started to feed it to him he smacked her hand out of the way with a strong "I do it all aself mommy" (This is a direct quote of a young Holly, I don't know where Aleric heard it) Holly decided to see how long he would do it and he fed himself an entire 6oz bottle. Then promptly passed out. All the talking and self sufficiency really tuckered him out.

I'm gonna be like you dad

Aleric was on the porch swing swinging with his mom and I was lounging in the lounge chair talking to them when Aleric let us know that he wanted to sit with me, but in his own chair. That was when I went to the garage and built a shrinking ray so he could have his own porch chair. It worked pretty well for the first run, aside from making the chair white, but I think I fried some of the electronics because I haven't been able to shrink that pile of boxes the movers left in our garage. Anyways, back to the the hero of our story, Aleric told me that he wanted to be just like me when he grew up but that he wanted to have his moms organizational skills and her good memory. I told him those were good goals and we sat sipping on our respective drinks for a few more minutes enjoying the Hawaiian evening breeze.

A proud ham (that can sit!)

No real story to this one, he was just hamming it up one evening and looking super cute so we snapped this shot to prove to everyone that he really can sit up all by himself. He likes to do this when he's playing with his toys. Hope you like it.

The Cake

About 3 months ago Holly found a magazine with a cake on the cover that she really wanted to make for Aleric's birthday. I guess she couldn't wait until then because as soon as she heard that our neighbor's son was turning two she decided to make this cake for him instead. Work began on this masterpiece at around 5pm on the 1st. As you can tell, if you've noticed the post time, we didn't finish until around 2am on the 2nd. I would say though, that all the work was worth it because the cake turned out beautifully despite our inexperience in this sort of thing.

What do you mean Santa isn't real?!!!

Aleric and I were sitting around talking today when he asked me where all of the toys he has came from. "Well son," I said " lots of nice people who care about your gave them to you.." and that's when he said "You mean like Santa?" Now, I don't even know where he heard of Santa since his name doesn't really come up in every day conversation and Aleric hasn't even been through his first Christmas but I figured our neighbor kid Xan must have said something to him. "Son, I'm going to tell you something my dad told me a long time ago. Santa isn't real. Don't worry, you'll still get lots of presents all the time." Maybe I should have waited until he was a bit older to break the news to him, he seemed a bit upset.
